These experiences can have a devastating effect on a person's general wellbeing. Sometimes just the opportunity to explore feelings and the ability to talk to somebody impartial about them can be enough. Counselling/Psychotherapy sessions last for approximately one hour. Frequency of these sessions are decided between both therapist and client but are normally carried out on a weekly basis. ENIGMA offer both short term counselling or longer term counselling/psychotherapy dependant upon the client's own requirements
Child Counselling/Psychotherapy Sessions
ENIGMA provides sessions particularly tailored to young people or children. In situations where young people find themselves facing crisis, counselling/psychotherapy sessions offer a safe uninhibited, confidential environment for their feelings to be explored. It is paramount that the young child/person feels comfortable in the counselling session and every effort is made to allow them to feel at ease.
Artistic imagery or other creative means can be used and even the development of forms of relaxation can be explored. Each ENIGMA counsellor is Criminal Reference Bureau (CRB) checked allowing them to work with young people and children.
Couple Counselling
ENIGMA provides couple counselling to allow individuals' to explore their thoughts and feelings in a safe confidential environment. Sometimes lack of communication can have far reaching effects upon a relationship. Couple counselling therefore allows opportunities for partners to share their inner feelings and thoughts in sessions so that an understanding of problem areas within the relationship can be identified.
Supervision
Supervision is a requirement for all professional counsellors and psychotherapists irrespective of their qualifications and professional standing. All ENIGMA counsellors receive regular (British Association of Counselling and Psychotherapy) B.A.C.P. supervision.
Training
ENIGMA provides training for individuals' embarking upon their own journey towards gaining qualifications and accreditation. ENIGMA charges are reduced in respect of student training.
