Confidentiality
The content of all client work remains confidential at all times. Any data emanating from such sessions is kept secure. In extreme circumstances concerning client safety or harm to themselves or others, confidentiality may be breached and matters are discussed with a supervisor, but under normal circumstances no identifying features would ever be discussed. All counsellors are bound by a Code of Ethics which stipulates core ethical principles, values and standards of conduct. Values such as integrity, honesty , accountability, respect and fairness. Ethical culture sets the tone for creating a respectful, honest and professional standard of practice. Confidentiality stipulates the protection of sensitive information at all times.
Your rights and your personal data
Unless subject to an exemption under the GDPR, you have the following rights with respect to your personal data:
- The right to request a copy of your personal data which ENIGMA Counselling Services holds about you;
- The right to request that ENIGMA Counselling Services corrects any personal data if it is found to be inaccurate or out of date;
- The right to request your personal data is erased where it is no longer necessary for ENIGMA Counselling Services to retain;
- The right to withdraw your consent (if under the consent permission) to the processing at any time;
